Talking about it won’t get it done; also just talking about having it all- will get you nothing. Talk is easy and as we all know talk is cheap. This allows it (talk) to be bought and sold effortless by most of us 24-7.
The time spent discussing, explaining, even the time defending your new business concept or personal endeavor must give way to time used perfecting all aspects of your vision. After the visualization, it is then time for execution. At this point, talking about it cease and being about it increase.
Obviously, you will have to tell a few folk -those that may be instrumental
within the implementation of your endeavor. However, beyond that circle of influence, guard your words carefully and monitor your enthusiasm, be wise with discernment at all times. Proverbs 17: 27 says, “A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even –tempered.”
Therefore, be economical with what you say and allow the law of supply and demand drive up the value that is placed on your words. Before words are spoken they were thoughts. So make sure that which enters your mind and those who enter your personal space are that which is clear and without gossip. Proverbs 17:4 proclaims that, “A wicked man listens to evils lips; a lair pays attention to a malicious tongue.”
Do not fall prey to saying what you don’t mean and not doing what you said you were going to do. If you have yet to make a decision about a very pressing matter, business or personal, there is no better time then now! But, first you must pray then mediate, listen for God’s words, take action and know that you don’t have to initially tell a soul. Keep your own council.
So the next time you get the eurge to tell everybody or anybody all your business, please recall these next three truths from proverbs: (1)“A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.” (Proverbs 14:15) And (2) “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps (Proverbs 16:9) (3) A man of perverse heart does not prosper; he whose tongue is deceitful fall into trouble (Proverbs 17:20)
Brother and Sister be careful about what you say and mean what you say, at all times even the: I’ll call you back or We’ll have lunch or even the- I missed seeing you. Know that, “A fool’s mouth is his undoing. and his lips are a snare to his soul (Proverbs 18:7)
